HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Google has officially announced its new policy for Vietnamese businesses.

According to the policy, 100 to 3,000 users using the email system beyond the ecosystem of Google for Work will be free to use Gmail under their own domain names if they have an existing contract with another provider, which can be transferred.

Businesses that do not have an existing domain for transfer can purchase one from Google.

This is an attempt by the technology giant to expand the application of cloud-based solutions in Viet Nam, recognising the huge potential of the country with a population of more than 90 million and an estimated 500,000 businesses.

The information was released by the Global Integrated Management System Co Ltd (Gimasys), which is the authorised partner for Google Apps solutions on cloud computing platforms for businesses in Viet Nam. The solution will help reduce IT costs and red tape, while helping employees work better together and be more productive.

According to Gimasys, a plan to change the technology is part of Google's development strategy to help businesses across the globe use Google Apps for Work. — VNS
