The Viet Nam Youth Union’s Supporting Centre for Youth’s Startup, in collaboration with the Israeli Embassy in Viet Nam, are holding the Startup Hunt contest from July 5 to August 29 to promote start-ups and innovation in tourism.
At the press conference in Ha Noi yesterday, Vice President of the Viet Nam Youth Union Nguyen Thi Thu Van said the contest was part of the youth start-up scheme for 2019-22 to encourage the development of local tourism while generating interest in innovative solutions created by young people.
The 20 best individuals or groups selected for the semi-final round will receive consulting to complete their products in two weeks before submitting their entry to the organising board via a Youtube video. The five best initiatives will enter the finale on August 28 and 29.
The champion will receive VND200 million (US$8,600) in cash and have a chance to study start-up models in Israel.
The organising board will present one second prize, one third prize, and two consolation prizes, worth VND100 million, VND50 million and VND10 million, respectively. — VNS
