HCM CITY – Prestigious giant housing company Phu My Hung Development Corporation on Thursday announced that Phu My Hung Children’s Day would be organised on May 27 this year at the Phu My Hung City Centre in District 7, HCM City.
This is the ninth year in a row that Phu My Hung will organise the event for the amusement of children and their families.
This year Children’s Day will be organised from 8am to 6pm along Crescent Lake in Phu My Hung City Center and is expected to welcome over 10,000 children and their families living not only in the Phu My Hung City Centre but also places in the city.
Every year the event is organised to mark International Children’s Day, which falls on June 1, and Viet Nam Family Day, which falls on June 28.
It seeks to offer children a place to play, make friends, explore their society, develop critical thinking, soft skills and communication and improve their health.
The event is among the programmes Phu My Hung Development Corporation organises to develop a civilised new urban city.
It also shows the company’s efforts to improve the living standards of Phu My Hung’s residents in particular and people in the city in general.
This year the event has the theme “Be confident to reach the future”.
The participating children can express their desires about their future career, and accompanying parents can understand more about their children’s aspirations and career desires and show them the right direction.
Nearly 40 different games will be organised in four different categories: vocational training, physical activities, art, and traditional games.
Playing vocational training games, children can role play various roles like doctors, soldiers, painters, technicians, scientists, etc.
At an art corner, they can show their talent in using recycled materials to make new products. Traditional games will feature events like races and jumps.
Along with games, many entertainment shows will also be organsied to make it a colourful event for the children.
The most impressive of the entertainment shows will be the “Mini Rock Show” in which children’s songs will be sung in rock music style.
Phu My Hung Young Talent
This year Phu My Hung Development Corporation will again organise the 3rd Phu My Hung Young Talents contest.
Following its success in previous years, the contest is set to be organised for the third year.
The company said applications for the contest would be received until May 25.
The contest is for children from 4 to 15 years old who have talent and love for art, singing, dancing, magic, ect.
Through the contest, the organiser wants to give children the chance to discover their own talent, find friends and simply have fun. It also seeks to instil confidence in children.
The first round will be held on Saturday, May 26. From this round, 10-15 best performances will be chosen for the final round.
The first prize will be VND10 million in cash, while the second and third prizes will be VND6 million and VND3 million.
