PHU QUOC (Biz Hub) — Vingroup officially inaugurated Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort in the district island of Phu Quoc on November 1 after only 10 months of construction, a company representative announced.

After Vinpearl Nha Trang and Vinpearl Luxury Da Nang, Vinpearl Phu Quoc is the latest luxury resort that is included in Vinpearl's scheme to spread its property projects throughout the country, said Vu Tuyet Hang, Vice-chairwoman of Vingroup and general director of Vinpearl Joint Stock Company.

"With big investments, we believe that Vinpearl Phu Quoc will contribute to the development of the tourism industry on Phu Quoc Island," Hang added.

As the first and biggest five-star resort with a golf course, Vinpearl Phu Quoc has helped upgrade tourism infrastructure in the famous island.

Located on Phu Quoc's Long Beach, known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Vinpearl Phu Quoc covers a 300ha area consisting of a hotel and five-star villas with 750 rooms, an entertainment area with modern equipment and a 27-hole golf course that measures up to international standards.

The hotel and villas follow contemporary architectural designs, with delicate decorations that promise to provide tourists with wonderful and nature-friendly experiences during their stay.

The resort also provides courses on modern sports, as well as a spa and swimming pools measuring 5,000sq m.

In addition, the resort's 1,500sq m conference hall is designed to host large-scale conferences and events and likewise measures up to international standards.

Also, Vinpearl Land, the resort's modern entertainment area, is divided according to various themes that meet the demand of customers of various ages. These include Games World, areas for adventure games and an aquarium with thousands of sea creatures, including penguins.

The 3,000-seat musical fountain stage will be opened on November 15.

Vinpearl Land is expected to make tourism in Phu Quoc Island more attractive. After Vinpearl Nha Trang, Vinpearl Phu Quoc is the second Vietnamese island resort with a golf course. Designed by American IMG, the golf course spans a 100ha area and is a highlight of the resort.

At Vinpearl Phu Quoc, tourists will find it quite convenient to reach famous tourist spots on the island such as Duong Dong, Duong To, An Thoi and Ham Ninh, as well as Phu Quoc National Park, among others.

The opening of the resort also shows Vingroup's quick pace of construction, as the resort was completed after just 10 months.

The resort's inauguration is expected to serve as an impetus for the development of tourism on the island. "We are proud to create a resort that resembles heaven for tourists," Hang remarked.

Vinpearl Phu Quoc will host the final round of Miss Vietnam 2014 between November 26 and December 6. The final round will witness the performance of world-famous contemporary singer Kelly Clarkson.

On the same day, the hotel was fully occupied by customers arriving at the island from four flights from Russia, China and South Korea. — VNS
