The national carrier Vietnam Airlines will provide more than 7.5 million seats (equivalent to nearly 36,000 flights) on domestic and international routes, increasing by nearly 600,000 year-on-year, from June 1 to August 31, serving increasing travel demand in this summer's peak.
In the peak three months, the carrier will offer more than 4.8 million seats for domestic flights, up 422,000 seats year-on-year. Meanwhile, international routes will have nearly 2.7 million seats, adding 170,000 seats compared to the same period, focusing on the routes between Viet Nam and Thailand, Japan and South Korea.
To welcome the summer travel season, the firm has also introduced incentive programmes for passengers such as free tickets for children below 12 and students with good study results; packages to Southeast Asia with cheap fares. — VNS
