Vietnam Airlines will limit the number of passengers on all its flights to HCM City to 180 passengers on Boeing 787 and 120 on Airbus A321 from April 6 to 15.

The national flag carrier said its Boeing 787 and Airbus A321 planes normally carried about 300 passengers and 190 passengers, respectively.

This move aims to meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to help fight the COVID-19 outbreak, ensuring Tan Son Nhat International Airport is capable of proper screening measures.

Vietnam Airlines said that if the number of passengers entering HCM City via Tan Son Nhat Airport increases, the airport will likely conduct concentrated isolation first, then take samples for COVID-19. — VNS
