Singapore Airlines to increase capacity

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Singapore Airlines will be flying its Airbus A330-300 aircraft on flights between Singapore and HCM City from the first day of 2014.

The aircraft has been operating on the Ha Noi – Singapore route since July 2013.

To commemorate the launch of A330-300 services between HCM City and Singapore, the airline is offering discounted fares in economy and business class from Viet Nam to various destinations for tickets purchased from December 4 to January 5, 2014.

In addition, from November 15, Singapore Airlines and Silk Air instituted a new baggage allowance, which increased to 50kg for first-class passengers; 40 kg for business-class passengers; and 30kg for economy-class passengers.

Currently, Singapore Airlines and its regional wing Silk Air conduct 14 flights weekly from HCM City, 11 flights weekly from Ha Noi and seven flights weekly from Da Nang to Singapore. — VNS
