Around 270 local and foreign exhibitors are displaying their latest products and technologies at an international exhibition, Fire Safety and Rescue Vietnam – Secutech Vietnam, that opened in HCM City on August 16.

The country’s largest exhibition related to security, fire protection, safety, and rescue has attracted exhibitors from 20 countries and territories, including the US, UK, India, Germany, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and China.

They have brought advanced technologies and products like surveillance systems, alarms, access-control systems, and biometrics for use in industrial parks, transportation, banks, buildings, and others.

Several seminars are planned on the sidelines of the event, including the 9th Asia Fire-protection Inspection Council Conference held by the Ministry of Public Security and other organisations, a seminar on fire prevention and fighting, and the Global Digital Safety Forum.

The exhibition will also feature activities to educate the public in high-rise building escape skills, first aid and fire safety, and rescue skills.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Doan Viet Manh, director of the Viet Nam Fire and Rescue Police Department, said the exhibition would offer local and international manufacturers of security and safety products the opportunity to explore the increasing demand for security, including fire safety and modern rescue equipment.

Organised by fire department, Viet Nam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition Joint Stock Company and Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, the exhibition at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre will remain open until August 18. — VNS
