TAY NINH (Biz Hub) — A South Korean business has announced a plan to funnel nearly VND20 billion (US$950,000) into a high-quality rice growing area in the southern province of Tay Ninh.
An agreement to this effect was signed between a local subsidiary of Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company and the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on January 22.
The project, to be carried out across 240 hectares in An Thanh Commune, Ben Cau border district, will involve building a flood-proof embankment and irrigation system as well as procuring relevant machinery.
Advanced and modern technologies will be applied in production under the consultation of experts and technicians, said department Deputy Director Nguyen Thai Son. — VNS
