National carrier Vietnam Airlines is officially selling flight tickets for its routes between Quang Ninh and HCM City at the corporation’s dealers.

The commercial flights will commence on December 30 with a frequency of one flight per day in each direction.

Vietnam Airlines uses the Airbus Industries A321 with a total of 184 seats, including 16 business class seats.

The HCM City-Quang Ninh flight will depart at 2pm from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (HCM City) and arrive at Van Don International Airport (Quang Ninh) at 4:50pm.

The reverse flight will start at 4:45pm and land at 6:50pm.

The prices for an one-way economy class ticket start at VND800,000 (US$34.19) excluding tax and fees. This is a preferential rate for the first phase and is being applied at the sales agents of Vietnam Airlines.

After three years, construction of Van Don International Airport has been nearly completed. This is the first private airport in the country.

The airport has a capacity of two million passengers and 10,000 tonnes of cargo per year with the most modern signal system, which can operate in all weather situations. — VNS
