Nova Group late last week announced plans to make a second bonus issue of shares this year at a rate of 29 for every 100 they own.

It also plans to pay a dividend of 31 per cent.

NVL said it is seeking shareholders’ opinions on the bonus issue and dividend.

The record date would be June 29, it said.

Since its NVL share has been gaining steadily since the beginning of this year, the bonus by share is an ideal option, brining more value to shareholders than cash dividend.

In another development, NVL said June 10 would be the record date for the bonus it announced earlier at a rate of 555: 198. Shareholders owning 555 shares will receive 198 new shares.

The stock market has seen a strong performance since the beginning of this year.

Experts said the NVL share still has room for growth.

In the next three years Novaland's profits are expected to increase dramatically as key projects it is implementing are completed. They include NovaWorld Ho Tram (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) and Aqua City (Dong Nai).

They are set to be completed much earlier than originally planned. At the same time, many infrastructure projects in these areas will be put into opertion.

Thanks to that fact, these projects will start reaching revenue and profit within the next three years, about five years earlier than the original plan.

The total profits for the company from these three super projects are estimated at US$2 billion.

This year Novaland targets revenues of more than VND27 trillion and profits of VND4.1 trillion.

The company said it is striving to achieve these goals based on both sales of units to customers and entire projects to other developers.

By the first quarter of this year it had lands of over 5,400ha in HCM City, its neighbouring provinces and tourist destinations.

This land source, the group said, will ensure their development in the next 7-10 coming years.

The gross development value of the lands is estimated at $45 billion.

Novaland said it is studying the industrial property segment and plans to enter it.

Not only Novaland but also many other companies are closing the list of shareholders to pay dividends.

The Viet Nam stock market is vibrant with the index repeatedly rising to record highs and high liquidity.
