The 2018 Northern Industry and Trade Fair kicked off in the northern province of Nam Dinh on Tuesday.

The fair features 350 stalls showcasing products of enterprises in manufacturing, handicrafts, commerce and services, foreign and domestic distribution, machinery and equipment. The enterprises hail from provinces and cities such as Tuyen Quang, Hai Duong, Ha Noi, Yen Bai and Nghe An.

The fair also highlights the agricultural and industrial products of nearly 200 enterprises in Nam Dinh Province such as Nam Cuong Fruit Cooperative, Nam Dinh Processing Foods and Seafood Joint Stock Company, and Nam Dinh Biochemical Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ngo Gia Tu, standing vice chairman of Nam Dinh Province People’s Committee, said the fair is an opportunity for enterprises in the province to promote products, seek partners and expand the market for goods in the northern provinces.

The event is also an opportunity for enterprises from other provinces to seek investment opportunities in Nam Dinh, thereby contributing to economic co-operation between the provinces and cities of the North.

The fair will run until December 25 at Hoa Binh Square, Nam Dinh City. — VNS
