HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Nordwind Airlines has announced it will launch a new route from the Russian city of Nizhniy Novgorod to Viet Nam's coastal central city of Cam Ranh starting on October 25.

"Russian visitors now can flight directly to Khanh Hoa Province in only 10 hours. We have launched the route at this time because October is the start of the high season for tourists in Russia," said Alexander Sinelnikov, CEO of Nizhny Novgorod International Airport Company.

Nordwind Airlines will provide one flight every 13 days on a Boeing 767-300.

Last May, the Moscow-based airline opened direct flights between Ulan-Ude and Cam Ranh.

Nizhny Novgorod is the fifth largest city in Russia and an important economic, transportation and cultural centre of the vast Volga-Vyatka region. — VNS
