BINH DUONG (Biz Hub) — Taiwan's Chin Li Plastic Industrial Co Ltd on July 26 launched the construction of a factory to make shoe soles in the southern Binh Duong Province.

The US$50-million factory will be built on an area of 5ha and is scheduled to be completed by July 2017.

The factory products will meet the demand of local footwear companies, which are receiving more orders from the American and European markets.

Chairman of the provincial people's committee Tran Thanh Liem asked the company to complete necessary administrative procedures related to the construction and to apply advanced and environment-friendly technologies to put the factory into operation on time, creating jobs for the local people.

Footwear is one of the 24 key exports of the province since the beginning of the year, with the revenue reaching $1 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 17 per cent. — VNS
