Metalworking and machinery fairs open in HCM City

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — More than 150 domestic and foreign enterprises are showing their products at two trade fairs that opened on Wednesday at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City.

The two expos are the 14th Chinese Machinery Fair (Chinamac Fair 2013) and the 2nd International Exhibition on Metalworking and Welding Technology (Metal and Weld 2013).

The events, which will also hold seminars for attendees, will feature more than 200 booths displaying the latest metalworking and welding equipment, packaging machinery, food processing equipment and other pieces of equipment.

Nguyen Van Ngan, general director of the Viet Nam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition Joint Stock Company (Vietfair), told Viet Nam News that "more and more Vietnamese companies are taking part in the event. This year, there are more than 30 companies at 40 booths."

In addition, local industrial parks are making an effort to attract more investors to their parks at the event, he added.

Organised by Vietfair, the China Light Industrial Corporation for Foreign Economic and Technical Co-operation, and the Great Future (Hong Kong) International Exhibition Co., Ltd, the two fairs will end on August 3. — VNS
