HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam Medi Pharm Expo, an exhibition of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals that opened yesterday in HCM City, seeks to facilitate networking between manufacturers/distributors and buyers.
Hua Phu Doan, vice chairman of the HCM City Medical Equipment Association, said Viet Nam has been emerging as an attractive destination for foreign investors, especially for those in the medical equipment and pharmaceutical sectors

HCM City alone is expected to invest around $900 million in upgrading medical equipment over the next three years.
The expo has attracted the participation of 280 companies from 25 countries and territories including the US, France, Germany, India, Kazakhstan and Hungary, who are exhibiting their products at 350 stalls at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre.
A seminar on the Vietnamese market and its regulations was held yesterday on the sidelines of the expo.
