DA NANG (Biz Hub) — The Song Thu Shipyard has delivered two Azimuth Stern-Drive Tug (ASD) ships for export to Gabon as part of the first contract for the African market.
The ASD Tug, which is 24m long and 11m wide, was built under a contract with the Sarep company for use in African ports.
The corporation, in co-operation with the Damen Shipyards Group from the Netherlands, also built four oil tankers for Australia's DMS Maritime and two Stan Patrol ships, SPA 5009, for export to Venezuela, in addition to a dredger for Russia's Rosmorport company.
The local shipbuilder has exported 40 vessels, including fast crew supply ships, rescue ships, salvage tugs, drive tugs and patrol boats for the Middle East, South America, Europe, and the domestic market.
The company was assigned as the National Centre for Oil Spill Risk Response in the central region. — VNS
