Jetstar Australia has announced the launch of two new low-cost direct flights from Melbourne and Sydney, Australia to HCM City.
The new routes will begin in May, making Jetstar Australia the only Australian carrier to fly direct from Australia to Viet Nam.
The flights, on the world-leading Boeing 787 Dreamliner, will operate four times weekly from Sydney and three times weekly from Melbourne. Ticket sales for the services commenced in January 2017.
Flights from Melbourne to HCM City will start on May 10, 2017, and flights from Sydney will begin on May 11, 2017, subject to government and regulatory approval.
Australian Assistant Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Keith Pitt said Viet Nam is quickly becoming one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia for Australians.
“The seven new weekly Jetstar flights connecting Viet Nam and Australia’s commercial centres will further boost our already strong bilateral relationship. In particular, these flights will help grow links between our businesses and our people,” he said. — VNS
