HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — A wide range of equipment, technologies and products in the cosmetics, beauty, hair and spa industries are on display at Cosmobeauté Vietnam 2014, which opened in HCM City on Thursday.

Held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, the 7th international exhibition and conference has attracted 150 exhibitors from 15 countries, including Italy, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, France and Viet Nam.

CP Saw, managing director of ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd, one of the events organisers, said by organising activities such as a B2B matchmaking programme, live demonstrations, seminars and workshops, the event offers opportunities for industry professionals to seek business partners and experience exchange.

It also provides a platform for technology transfer between Vietnamese and international companies in the cosmetics, beauty and health industry, according to Tran Duc Long of the Ministry of Health.

As a result, Vietnamese consumers will have more and more opportunities to enjoy diverse and high quality products and services provided by prestigious brands, Long said.

Co-organised by ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd and the Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co., the exhibition will run until April 26. —VNS
