HA NOI (Biz Hub)— International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of World Bank Group, will provide support to the Ministry of Construction to enhance energy efficiency in construction.
IFC will help the ministry create instructions and training courses for energy efficiency in construction and set up a strategy for the development of green construction in Viet Nam.
The programme, to be implemented over five years, aims to reduce energy consumption by 15 per cent for newly constructed buildings, helping Viet Nam cut greenhouse gas emissions by 8-10 per cent in the 2011-20 period.— VNS
