HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The KLF Travel company and Viet Nam Helicopter North (VNH) yesterday officially launched a luxury helicopter tour service in Ha Noi, the first of its kind in the northern region.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Binh, KLF's General Director, said the tours would take VNH's air services to a higher level and make them more effective, besides promoting the company's tourism business at its hotels and resorts.
EC130T2 is a new helicopter model with advanced features such as vibration control, a modern navigation system and floats. In addition, the helicopter has a glass cabin, which will make sightseeing easier, and an air-conditioning system and comfortable seats for one or two pilots and five or six passengers.
The service will cost US$2,400 per hour, which is equivalent to half the cost of hiring helicopters such as MI 17, MI 172 and EC 155 B1. This is due to the modern technologies used in the EC130T2, which help save fuel. For reasons of fuel economy, the service is suitable for a group of less than six people.— VNS
