HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Gamuda Land Vietnam LLC and Ha Noi's Department of Natural Resources and Environment completed a handover ceremony for the Yen So Sewage Treatment last Friday.

The handover included a transfer of buildings, land, equipment, legal documents and related items.

Cheong Ho Kuan, General Director of Gamuda Land Vietnam said: "Yen So Sewage Treatment project is the largest sewage treatment plant in Vietnam today, which has been designed & built to help transform the whole Southern land of Ha Noi to a new lease of life as well as address pressing issues on environment and water treatment facing this area. We strongly believe that signing these handover minutes marks a breakthrough for both sides."

Located in the North of Yen So Park in Yen So ward, Yen So Sewage Treatment Plant spans 91,959 sq.m and has a daily capacity of 200, 000 cu.m, equivalent to half of Ha Noi's total sewage.

The plant aims to address urgent issues pertaining to the environment and sewage treatment in Hoang Mai district and Ha Noi City.

Plant operators also believe the facility will play an important role in attracting investment to develop southern sections of Ha Noi.

The addition to Ha Noi's sewerage network will provide treatment of Kim Nguu and Set River catchments to improve environmental conditions and living standards for residents in the area. - VNS
