HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Gas suppliers in HCM City and other southern regions increased the retail price of a 12kg cooking gas canister by VND1,500 (US$0.07) to reach about VND258,000 ($11.55) on March 1.
The Ho Chi Minh One Member Limited Liability Oil and Gas Company said the gas price was hiked after the world gas price rose by $5 to touch $305 per tonne in March.
This is the first gas price increase this year. In February, the gas price was reduced by VND20,500 to touch VND257,000 per 12kg cooking gas canister. — VNS
