BINH DUONG (Biz Hub) — Insurance companies last Friday made the first payments to businesses harmed by riots in the southern province of Binh Duong.
VND114.7 billion (US$5.33 million) was paid to 113 enterprises, including 87 Taiwanese and three Singaporean companies, as well as four investors from Hong Kong and three from the Republic of Korea.
Director General of Esquel Vietnam thanked the Vietnamese Government and Binh Duong authorities for acting quickly to help businesses resume operations following recent riots.
Speaking at the ceremony, Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung reiterated the Vietnamese Government's resolve to ensure a safe and convenient investment environment for foreign investors. — VNS
