The Phú Quốc Civil Construction Limited Liability Company held a commencement ceremony of Cát Bà Central Bay tourism and commercial service project in Cát Bà Town, Cát Hải District, Hải Phòng City, on Friday.
The project has a scale of more than 45.7 hectares, with a total investment of more than VNĐ12.4 trillion (US$511.25 million).
The project is located right next to the centre of Cát Bà town and is planned to be built based on the idea of turning Cát Bà into a "little Maldives of Asia", with a large-scale, quality and classy entertainment space.
With the goal of turning Cát Bà into the first carbon-free tourism island in the country, in the near future all residents on the island as well as tourists will completely use eco-friendly means of transport such as cable cars, electric cars, and bicycles.
The public electric car system will be planned synchronously throughout the island, with stops, parking, and charging stations to ensure convenience for residents and tourists.
This is considered one of Việt Nam's pioneering tourism projects towards carbon emissions and dedicating a lot of space to the community. — VNS
