The Viet Nam International Cafe Show has opened in HCM City.

It has over 200 stalls set up by 150 local and international businesses in sectors such as coffee, tea, sweets, ingredients, machinery, equipment, and decorations.

Coffee co-operatives from Dak Nong and Dak Lak are also taking part.

The exhibition is an opportunity for businesses to promote their products while visitors can enjoy high-quality coffee products.

The Viet Nam National Barista Championship is being held at the event, with the winner set to compete in the 2020 world championship in Melbourne, Australia.

The Viet Nam National Latte Art Championship and Viet Nam Signature Battle (a contest for creative drink recipes) are also being held, with the winners going on to compete in international contests in Germany and South Korea.

Last year Viet Nam exported 1.88 million tonnes of coffee for US$3.5 billion.

Organised by Exporum Viet Nam Ltd Co., the exhibition is being held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7 and will go on until May 4. – VNS
