CUU LONG DELTA (Biz Hub) —  The Mekong Expo 2014 trade fair was opened at the Can Tho City Convention Centre in the Mekong city of Can Tho on Saturday (April 26).

Entitlled "Products for Exports from the Mekong Delta", the trade fair has nearly 400 booths displaying products manufactured by companies based in Can Tho and other Mekong provinces.

Le Thi Kim Thu, Director of Can Tho Convention Centre, said this year's trade fair was aimed to introduce to international customers products for exports from Can Tho and other Mekong provinces, thus to promote exports and to contribute to economic development of the Mekong Delta.

the trade fair also highlights economic achievements of the Mekong Delta region and potentials for investment and cooperation and products from Mekong provinces.

Products on display include goods for exports, high – quality furniture, handicraft; inner decoration products; textile and garments; footwears; porcelain and ceramics; electronics; seafood and farm produce; and others.

The trade fair will last until May 2, 2014 – VNS.
