HA NOI (Biz Hub) —Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped 307.85 points to end at 14,396.04, topping Asian markets on Monday, while the Topix Index (TPX) in Tokyo gained 20.08 points to finish at 25.07.
Chinese shares also finished higher: the Hang Seng Index (HSI) gained 108.24 points to close at 22,806.58 while the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) added 0.91 points to close at 2,133.87. The Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore gained 1.10 points to finish at 3,211.7.
However, investors in Viet Nam were not cheered as the HNX Index in the capital city slipped 0.41 points to end at 61.41 while the VN Index in HCM City lost 4.29 points to end at 496.46.— VNS
