HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major Asian indices closed down on April 20.
Leading the downward trend, the Hang Seng Index lost 558.19 points to close at 27,094.93 in Hong Kong.
Also, the Nikkei 225 slipped 18.39 points to close at 19,634.49, while the Topix Index edged down 6.01points to end at 1,590.82 in Tokyo.
The Shanghai Composite Index lost 70.22 points to 4,217.08 in mainland China and the Straits Times Index slumped 21.94 to close at 3,503.25 in Singapore.
At the same time, the two bourses in Viet Nam also ended lower on the same day. The VN Index slipped 3.28 points to close at 565.04 and the HNX Index decreased 0.32 points to end the day at 83.29. — VNS
