HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 lost 341.72 points to finish at 15,407.94, as the big loser in Asian markets on Wednesday. Also, Japan's Topix Index (TPX) declined 21.55 points, closing at 1,240.99 in Tokyo.
Additionally, the Hang Seng Index finished the day down 181.77 points at 23,728.70 in Hong Kong and the Straits Times Index (STI) in Singapore ended down 30.10 points to finish at 3,157.6.
Two bourses ended with mixed results in Viet Nam, with the VN Index losing 0.74 points to end at 510.88 in HCM City and the HNX Index adding 0.49 points to end at 66.12.
The only exception was the Chinese benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) which rose 29.09 points to close at 2,251.76.—VNS
