HA NOI (Biz Hub) – Viet Nam Sea and Islands Week will be held in the central coastal province of Ha Tinh from June 7.

The event, with the theme ‘Together for National Seas and Islands', will include a meeting to discuss World Environment Day, which falls on June 5, and World Ocean Day on June 8.

Two forums on Viet Nam's sea trademarks and sea economy will be held during the event.

Deputy Director of the General Department of Viet Nam Seas and Islands Nguyen Dang Dao said the week would be an opportunity to push up dissemination about the activities of different sectors to protect natural resource and the sea environment as well as the nation's sea sovereignty in the current trend of integration. -- VNS
