Three manufacturing expos to be held in October

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — An annual exhibition for the support industry will be held this year concurrently with exhibitions on machine tools and electronic technology in HCM City from October 10-12.

The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) in HCM City and the HCM City Investment and Trade Promotion Center, organisers of the support-industry exhibition, signed yesterday a contract with Reed Tradex, the organiser of two other exhibitions, to hold the three expos at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Center in District 7.

More than 100 Japanese and domestic companies, mainly in the automobile, motorcycle, electronics parts manufacturing industries, will be represented at the support industry expo named "Business Alliance for Supporting Industry in HCM City".

This will enable companies specialising in these fields to be able to find partners easily.

The two other exhibitions, Metalex Vietnam and Nepcon Vietnam, will bring together 500 well-known brands from 25 countries and territories, according to Duangdej Yuaikwamdee, deputy managing director of Reed Tradex.

Products on display at the two shows will showcase new machinery and electronics technologies used in welding, factory automation, moulds and dies, wire and tube technology, control measurement and assembly.

The events also include seminars and technology presentations that is expected to contribute to human-resource development in Viet Nam. The coming together of the three shows will offer local parts-makers a chance to meet new buyers while keeping abreast of the latest manufacturing innovations. — VNS
