The Viet Nam Medi Pharm Expo 2017 will open its door at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City on Thursday.

The two-day event will showcase medical equipment, health care products, pharmaceuticals, food supplements, cosmetics, processing equipment and dental facilities, among others.

Some 250 exhibitors are expected from Viet Nam, the US, Germany, Italy, France, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey, Korea, Japan, mainland China, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan and Thailand.

The Japanese booths will display high-tech medical products, the Indian booths will feature pharmaceuticals and laboratory equipment, and China will exhibit toxin detectors, rapid diagnostic tests, electric saws, medical drills for orthopedic surgery and herbal medicines. Korea’s booth will introduce processing machines, pharmaceutical product packaging, cosmetics and cosmetics equipment.

Several workshops will be held on the sidelines of the expo on the domestic medical market and relevant regulations. A fact-finding trip to a major hospital in HCM City will be organised for foreign exhibitors to learn about the needs of local residents in HCM City in particular and Viet Nam in general.

The annual Viet Nam Medi Pharm held in HCM City since the year 2000, is organised in collaboration by the ministries of health and industry and trade, Vinexad and HCM City Medical Equipment Association. — VNS
