HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The southern province of Soc Trang will host the Mekong Delta Economic Co-operation - Soc Trang 2014 in the provincial city from November 5 to 7.
With the theme "Restructuring agriculture – building new rural area in Cuu Long Mekong Delta", the MDEC – Soc Trang event will include a seminar on the "Role of banks in restructuring agriculture – building new rural areas in Cuu Long Mekong Delta", a conference on promoting investment in agriculture and rural areas toward a sustainable green economy and a business forum on economic development in the delta, HCM City and Ha Noi.
There will also be a festival of Ngo junk racing of the Khmer ethnic minority and a tourism and trade fair introducing local traditional products. — VNS
