HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The international grapes and wine festival 2014 will be held in Phan Rang City in the southern Ninh Thuan Province for three days from July 17 - 19, 2014.

The festival will include more than 100 booths to introduce products made of grapes from Viet Nam, France, Chile and Argentina. Also, products from Australia, Hungary, Rumania and Germany will be introduced.

The festival will include various activities, such as cars parade, boat racing, street music and exhibition. In addition, activities such as photography award; exhibition on grapes and wine products; cuisine and kite-flying contests; and seminar on "Ninh Thuan grapes-Jade in stone" to guide farmers to reap the highest benefits from grapes and to help them in planting grapes using the best methods will take place. The other activities that will take place are performing the local processes of planting, harvesting and producing wine and grape products; and an art performance and fireworks at the opening and closing ceremonies.

Ninh Thuan has the largest vineyard in the country, with 2,500 hectares mainly distributed in Ninh Phuoc and Ninh Hai districts and Phan Rang-Thap Cham City. Ninh Thuan grapes are processed for many kinds of products such as dried grapes, jelly, wine and honey to meet customers' demands.

The festival is expected to be a chance for domestic and international investors to meet, exchange and look for business and investment opportunities. — VNS
