The Viet Nam International Retail and Franchise Show will be organised in HCM City from June 1 to 3 this year.
The ninth annual expo will have 500 booths set up by 300 companies from 14 countries and territories, and expects to attract 40,000 buyers from Viet Nam and neighbouring countries.
Advanced technologies and equipment for the retail sector will be on show.
There will be international franchise booths from Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, and the World Franchise Association. These exhibitors will look for business partners seeking to buy master franchises in the food and beverages, health and beauty, fashion, education and training, retail and wholesale, and services sectors.
VIETRF will also see the participation of many companies in Viet Nam looking for sub-franchisees like Speed Queen, the world's top player in commercial laundry drying owned by Alliance; Dream Games, a chain of game centres that has been developed in shopping centres; appliance brand Lock & Lock; Vietnamese fashion companies Hnoss and Couple TX; and educational franchisors Aptech Eyelevel.
To be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7, the event will also include the 2017 Go Global Start-Up Competition, which will be a forum for Vietnamese start-ups to present their business ideas in retail and franchising, seminars and a business-matching programme. — VNS
