Vietnam’s largest German beer festival comes to town

Oktoberfest Viet Nam, one of the country’s most exciting annual German beer and food festivals, returns for its 16th year in HCM City at Windsor Plaza and will also take place for the first time at the legendary Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

After two years of being postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, lovers of German food and beer are now able to gather for the traditional German beer fest.

Taking its roots from Munich, Germany, Oktoberfest Vietnam is a celebration of authentic German fare, beer, and fun. With well over 19,000 in attendance, Oktoberfest Vietnam 2022 at Windsor Hotel Plaza and Hanoi Daewoo Hotel is expected to be one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations in Southeast Asia.

This annual event recreates the atmosphere found in the massive beer halls of the original Oktoberfest, complete with an expansive buffet of savory German cuisine and draft beer directly imported from Germany.

This year, festivities kick off each night at 6pm and run until midnight from Tuesday, September 27, through Sunday, October 2 at Windsor Plaza Hotel; and from Thursday, October 6 through Saturday, October 8 at Hanoi Daewoo Hotel.

Lovers of German F&B will indulge with free-flowing German beer and all-you-can-eat Bavarian fare offered throughout each night of the festival. The all-you-can-eat feast of authentic German cuisine features sausages, sauerkraut, sauerbraten and pork knuckle.

Throughout the evening, the overflowing buffet will also present a selection of traditional side dishes from roast potatoes to salted pretzels.

Live music entertainment will also be available to revel in the spirit of a traditional Oktoberfest celebration.

This year, the event welcomes an host of performers to keep guests entertained and the good times flowing. The featured entertainment will include bands playing traditional Bavarian numbers and contemporary sounds, a stunning aerial dancer, multiple DJ sets and choreographed dance troupes.

In addition, guests can partake in delightful activities, exciting games and many other surprises.

This year will also showcase spectacular prizes from the nightly lucky draw.
