The Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Vietnam Airlines and Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO) on March 5 signed a cooperation agreement for an aviation engineering training programme.
The agreement aims to provide HUST Aerospace Engineering students with an opportunity to obtain a B1/B2 certificate in aircraft maintenance techniques in a shorter timeframe.
Under the agreement, HUST students will complete a three-year programme for 180 credits and then undergo approximately 10 months of study and practice at VAECO. This additional training period at VAECO will enable the students to acquire the B1/B2 certificate.
Previously, it would have taken around seven years to obtain this certificate, but with this programme, HUST students can achieve it in just four years.
VAECO is currently the only organisation approved by the Vietnam Aviation Administration to provide training and issue B1/B2 certificates in Việt Nam. HUST is also the only school collaborating with VAECO to offer this programme.
The signing ceremony also served as an opportunity for the three parties to reflect on their achievements from the previous cooperation period (2018-2023) and commit to further joint activities for the next three years (2024-2026). — VNS
