HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – VietJetAir has received one aircraft, expanding its fleet size to 11, as it attempts to meet increasing demand during the Tet holidays, the airline said.

The new aircraft belongs to the Airbus A320-200 family. It will help VietJetAir add more than 10,000 seats per week.

"Customers now have more options for returning home or travelling with their loved ones during the holidays. The increase in the fleet is also part of our attempts to expand our operations this year," VietJetAir's business development director, Desmond Lin, said.

VietJetAir operates 16 domestic and international flights. In the next few months, VietJetAir will continue to launch national and international flights that connect to tourist and business hubs in Asia, such as South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. – VNS
