Vietjet plans more flights, new routes for Tet

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet will increase the flight frequency on key routes, while also enticing travellers with early bird promotions such as fares from zero dong.

The move is aimed at meeting the huge demand for air travel before, during and after Tet (Lunar New Year holiday) in early 2016.

The airline will give away 500,000 promotional tickets, from just zero dong, from mid-day to 2pm between September 16 and 18. The tickets will be valid for travel between January 1 and April 22, 2016.

Tickets for domestic and international flights to South Korea, Myanmar, Taiwan and Singapore, besides Thailand can also be bought at discounted prices (VND199,000, VND299,000 and VND399,000) for travel from today till April 22, 2016.

Vietjet has also revealed plans to launch new routes before the holiday period.

The airline will increase the flight frequency on high-traffic routes, such as HCM City – Ha Noi (with more than 20 round trips per day for the holiday period), HCM City – Da Nang (10 round trips per day), HCM City - Hue (four round trips), and HCM City - Vinh (four round trips), as well as HCM City - Hai Phong (six round trips) and HCM City - Nha Trang (three round trips). — VNS
