Vietjet will open its new route connecting Da Lat City with Bangkok on December 18 to better meet travelling demand for the Da Lat Flower Festival, slated to be held on December 23-27.
Vietjet is the first airline operating a direct service between Da Lat and Bangkok.
The new route will be operated by an Airbus A320, with four return flights per week every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight departs at 10.30am from Bangkok and returns at 12.55pm from Da Lat with a flight time of one hour 45 minutes.
One-way fares start from only VND68,000 (US$3) and are now available for booking at www.vietjetair.com.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Vietjet vice president, said the new route would enable people from the two countries to travel conveniently to enjoy their neighbouring country’s landscape even more through the expanding flight network.
Following the recently-launched service between Da Lat and Bangkok in December 2017, Vietjet and Thai Vietjet will operate a total of six direct routes between Thailand and Viet Nam --Bangkok to Ha Noi, Hai Phong, HCM City and Da Lat and HCM City to Phuket and Chiang Mai. — VNS
