HA NOI (Biz Hub) — A meeting in Bangkok earlier this month was told that cooperation in insurance services between Viet Nam, Thailand and South Korea will be enhanced.
A trilateral cooperation agreement in insurance services between Vietnam's Bao Viet and Bao Minh Insurance Corporation, Thai's Dhipaya insurance company (Dhipaya) and South Korea's ENC Plus was made official at the signing ceremony in Bangkok city.
The Thai's state-owned Dhipaya, established in 1951, earned revenue of USD$850 million in 2013. The company has increased investment in insurance industry in Viet Nam.
Dhipaya aims to expand its operations in the Mekong delta in the next five years.
The Korean ENC Plus, an insurance broker, has supported Viet Nam's Bao Viet and Bao Minh Insurance Corporation with reinsurance services for large scale projects in Korea.
The cooperation agreement has given Viet Nam, Thailand and Korea a chance to increase cooperation in insurance services. — VNS
