VI Furniture JSC, backed up by the Vietnam Investment Fund opened the first Index Living Mall Furniture store in District 1, HCM City on Wednesday.

The 1,000sq.m store is on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, and will sell thousands of different products from Thailand's Index Living Mall's collection.

It will offer products for the home, office, kitchen and outdoor garden furniture.

Aiming to be one the leading furniture chains in Viet Nam, VI Furniture completed the deal and became the sole franchise partner of Index Living Mall in Viet Nam since March 2019 to meet the diverse needs of Vietnamese consumers.

Tran Hoang Ngoc Uyen, director of VI Furniture, said: "The local furniture market grows at the average rate of 9.6 per cent per year," adding they will open the second store in the city in December.

Before the deal, Index Living Mall Furniture served the Vietnamese market since 2011. With more than 30 years of experience, Index Living Mall has more than 30 stores in Thailand and in the region. — VNS
