The Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) announced on March 29 that Herbalife has been selected as the official sponsor of the national teams.
As part of the agreement, Herbalife will provide substantial support to both the men's and women's squads as they compete in major tournaments such as the Asian Cup, SEA Games 32, Asian Games and World Cup in 2023.
Herbalife has been a partner of the VFF since 2021. In addition to financial backing, the company will also supply nutritional supplements to help players enhance their physical strength and endurance in training and competitions.
Herbalife experts will also conduct courses and talks on sports nutrition to share helpful information with coaches and athletes.
"With the continued companionship of Herbalife along with other sponsors, the Vietnamese national teams will compete with strong efforts and the best spirit and will complete their tasks with the highest results,” said Duong Nghiep Khoi, VFF general secretary.
Meanwhile, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasised that Herbalife's sponsorship played a key role in Viet Nam's preparation for major events later this year. He expressed his deep appreciation to Herbalife for its contribution to the teams' development.
Herbalife General Director Vu Van Thang said he was excited and proud to witness Viet Nam football's recent amazing achievements, such as the women's team's qualification for the 2023 World Cup and both squads' gold medals at the 31st SEA Games.
He hoped that the company's products would help the national football team achieve their long-term goals and reach new heights in international competitions.
Through its sponsorship, Herbalife also aimed to encourage people to engage in regular sports practice and promote a healthy and dynamic lifestyle in the community. — VNS
