UNIQLO, the global apparel retailer from Japan, announced it will launch a special edition of its Thank You Festival (Kanshasai) from May 24 to June 2, celebrating UNIQLO’s global 40th anniversary.

The much-anticipated Kanshasai is a gesture of UNIQLO’s deep gratitude toward every customer who has embraced the brand over the years. During the festival, exciting promotions and novelties will be available for all customers who shop at UNIQLO stores nationwide and on www.uniqlo.com/vn.

General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam Nishida Hideki said: "UNIQLO opened the first store in the suburbs of Japan in June of 1984. 40 years later, we still operate like a local business by putting our customers first. Even if there are now over 2,400 UNIQLO stores all over the world. We’re so grateful for the way you welcomed us into your neighbourhoods as we opened each new store in cities across the globe. For our 40th anniversary, we’re celebrating with a Kanshasai to show the depth of our appreciation to customers who inspire us for innovation."

During Kanshasai, UNIQLO Vietnam will introduce UTme!, a collection of eight new designs from Đặng Thái Tuấn, a very talented Vietnamese illustrator and Clementine Brault, a French creative director of a Saigon-based design studio. The collection brings unique and vibrant patterns inspired by Vietnamese culture and lifestyle.

As a young artist, Đặng Thái Tuấn embraces traditional culture but in a more creative and attractive way. “Vietnamese culture is very diverse. There’s still a lot of interesting aspects that we have not explored yet. Therefore, through the collaboration with UNIQLO, I want to bring up new stories and perspectives, bringing Vietnamese culture closer to more people and the world,” said Tuấn.

The collection will be available from May 24, at four stores, including UNIQLO Đồng Khởi and UNIQLO Saigon Centre in HCM City, UNIQLO Vincom Phạm Ngọc Thạch and UNIQLO Hoàn Kiếm in Hà Nội.

Moreover, during the first three days of the festival, from May 24 to May 26, customers will receive a tumbler with every purchase of over VNĐ1,499,000. — VNS
