Trungnam Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (Trungnam Group) and Ky Son District People's Committee in Nghe An inaugurated Ky Son High School on September 3.

Funded by Trungnam Group, the work started on November 20 last year and was completed within nine months and 10 days to serve the local students of the mountainous area.

According to the group, investment in education has always been seen as the focus of development of each country, so its building was to contribute to eliminating inequality in education and helping everyone have the opportunity to access modern education, especially children in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas.

The school is home to more than 95 per cent of students from ethnic minorities who have a dangerous journey to school, especially in the rainy season during storms, floods and landslides.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attends the ceremony in Nghe An.

Before the new school was built, the school's facilities were severely degraded. Having no boarding houses for students and teachers affected the learning process and the quality of education in the locality.

With the investment of VND210 billion, the school was built on an area of about 2.6 hectares, with modern and scientific design, meeting national standards for 2,000 students with a total of 245 rooms, of which there are 45 classrooms, 25 function rooms, 126 rooms boarding for students and 45 boarding rooms for teachers, modern and scientific design.

Nguyen Tam Tien, General Director of Trungnam Group, said: "There is no wiser and more humane investment than education. For Trungnam Group, people are invaluable assets. The human factor and educational background are always the top concern of our group. "

"After 10 months of intense construction on the construction site, it's time for local students to have a quality learning facility in the new school year."

The group also gave valuable gifts and scholarships to students, including scholarships of VND1 billion within 10 years until 2032, VND100 million per year to disadvantaged children to overcome difficulties in studying and a donation of 500 Xelex Gama Tab 8 tablets for online learning, 500 bicycles to support school travel and many gifts and backpacks for students.

In 2022, the group has set the "Sustainable Development" orientation for the next five years, focusing on the 3P platform: People - Planet – Profit.

So far, the group has invested in high-quality schools across the country and expects to complete another school in Vung Liem District, Vinh Long Province, this November. — VNS
