Japanese sanitaryware producer TOTO introduced environmental-friendly technologies at the Eco-products International Fair (EPIF) held in HCM City last week.
The highlights were the high-tech Neorest toilet which requires just 3.8 litres of water to flush and the close-coupled toilet with Ecowasher seat to be flushed with 4.8 liters, which helps save water and is environment-friendly.
The TOTO booth also displayed information about TOTO Group’s 100th anniversary and its 15 years of operations in Viet Nam. Images featuring community activities, showrooms, factories and staffs of TOTO Vietnam were also introduced at the TOTO booth at EPIF 2017.
Yamasaki Masao, general director of TOTO Vietnam, said: “To undertake environmental initiatives on a global scale, we have a Global Environmental Vision to achieve by 2017, the centenary of our establishment.
“Six social issues are being addressed under these goals. In terms of product development, we are paying particular attention to conserving water resources, and are striving to reduce water usage and CO2 emissions when our products are used.”
Held with support from the Ministries of Science and Technology and Natural Resources and Environment and the Viet Nam National Productivity Institute and in collaboration with the Asian Productivity Organization, the 2017 EPIF attracted 250 businesses from many countries and territories who set up 400 booths. — VNS
