Sun Group and Philips Lighting on Friday signed an agreement to cooperate in installing smart solution lighting systems for major projects in Ha Noi, including on Nhat Tan Bridge.
The installation of the lighting system for Viet Nam’s longest cable-stayed bridge is expected to be completed and put into operation on April 30, the Southern Liberation and National Re-unification Day.
The lighting system to be installed by world-renowned brand Philips Lighting will bring original, cultural and artistic features to the 3.7km-long Nhat Tan Bridge. Light-emitting diode (LED) technology will help save costs and contribute to the building of a smart and sustainable urban area.
Sun Group is making its first investment in Ha Noi with Kim Quy Park, which is worth VND4.6 trillion (US$201.8 million) in its first phase.
Previously, Sun Group joined with Philips Lighting to install the lighting system for Bai Chay Bridge in Ha Long City.
Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that the lighting system was expected to turn the Nhat Tan bridge into a symbolic feature of the capital city in the northern gateway.
Dang Minh Truong, Sun Group’s general director, said that the cooperation will promote the application of smart solutions to urban lighting systems and contribute to the development of a modern and dynamic city. “We hope the lighting projects will promote the tourism industry,” he said.
After Nhat Tan Bright, the two companies will continue to cooperate in developing lighting systems for other major projects of Ha Noi. — VNS
