Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam in collaboration with the People's Committee of Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City of HCM City, and the social enterprise Green Connect, has launched the STEAM Summer Experience 2024 Programme, aiming at equipping underprivileged students with essential knowledge and skills in the field of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, coding, assembly, and art (STEAM).

Held for the first time, this project is part of the "Becoming an Environmental Warrior to Save the Earth" training series, which includes many educational modules on STEAM, environmental protection, and sustainable development, organised by Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam and Green Connect.

The programme targets 8th and 9th-grade students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are passionate about natural sciences and technology. It aims to help them develop teamwork and leadership skills through collaborative projects.

The STEAM Summer Experience programme runs for three weeks in July 2024, with three sessions each. Participants will work in teams to explore, design, operate, and refine a model simulating the "journey from egg to chicken" under the guidance of teachers and teaching assistants.

With the collaboration of Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam, the Linh Trung Ward People's Committee, and Green Connect, the EkoSchool project plans to implement training programmes that meet local needs, aiming to personalise the learning experience.

It is expected that after the STEAM Summer Experience 2024 programme, the project will continue to offer classes for disadvantaged children in Linh Trung Ward, HCM City. — VNS
