HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Following the success of its three first stores in HCM City, Starbucks has announced plans for a fourth in District 1.

The outlet, at the corner of Dong Du and Hai Ba Trung, will have a soft opening be on March 20 and the official opening a day later.

"Viet Nam is one of the most dynamic and exciting markets in the world and we are proud to add a fourth store here in HCM City," said Patricia Marques, general manager, Starbucks Coffee Viet Nam.

The store features new, bold design elements and each level of the three-storey store has been designed to have a different atmosphere.

"Starbucks provides much more than just the best cup of coffee – we offer a community gathering place where people come together, connect with family and friends and celebrate the local Vietnamese coffee culture and heritage," Marques said.

For the launch, the company is partnering with Room to Read Viet Nam, which supports girls education. Room to Read focuses on literacy as the foundation of all other learning by developing reading skills and the habit of reading among primary school children

On the opening day Starbucks will introduce two new drinks for spring - caramel macchiato and hazelnut macchiato, both hot and iced.

The caramel macchiato is one of the companys most popular beverages across Asia. As with the caramel macchiato, the new hazelnut macchiato combines steamed milk with a signature espresso shot and is topped with a layer of foam. It has a toasty hazelnut flavor in every sip.

"We always hear from our customers about how they fell in love with their first caramel macchiato." said Marques. "We wanted to create something special for them to discover and we are sure the hazelnut macchiato will soon become a favorite."
